There are no accounts and no sign-up. We do not ask for your email address. What we store is your answers to the test, the time each one took, and the score computed from them. If you pay, Stripe handles the payment and we never see your card details.
When you start the test we create an attempt record with a random identifier. Against that identifier we store: your answer to each item and how long it took, your processing-speed results, the scores derived from them, an optional display name if you choose to enter one for your report, a referral code, and whether the result has been unlocked. The identifier and a matching access token are kept in your browser’s local storage, which is what lets you return to your result on the same device.
We do not collect your name unless you type one in, and we do not ask for an email address, postal address or phone number. The application does not log your IP address or user agent against your attempt. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers or data brokers.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe’s own checkout page and never reach our servers. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, and the identifier Stripe assigns to the transaction, so that we can unlock the corresponding result. Stripe’s handling of your payment data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Attempt records are stored in Amazon DynamoDB in the United States. The site is served by Vercel, which may process request metadata such as IP address as part of delivering and protecting the site, in line with its own privacy policy.
We use your browser’s local storage, not cookies, to hold your attempt identifier, access token, in-progress answers and any referral code you arrived with. Clearing your browser data removes these, and with them your ability to return to an unfinished or unpaid result. Nothing in local storage is used to track you across other sites.
Attempt records are retained so that you can return to a result you have paid for. You can ask for yours to be deleted at any time.
You can take the test without entering a name. You can clear local storage at any point to disconnect your browser from an attempt. To request access to or deletion of a stored attempt, contact us at the address below and include the attempt identifier shown on your results page. Depending on where you live, you may have statutory rights of access, correction, deletion and portability; we will honour those requests.
The test is not directed at children and should not be used by anyone under 16 without a parent or guardian.
